Does my insurance cover my varicose vein consultation?
Yes. Most insurance companies typically do cover consultations with physicians. When you see one of our physicians, it is no different than seeing any other doctor for other conditions. It is based on this consultation a diagnosis is made and treatment plans are determined.
Does my insurance cover my varicose vein treatments?
It depends. If the varicose vein disease is considered medical, many treatments are considered necessary and covered by insurance. However, if the desired treatment is considered purely cosmetic, your insurance is unlikely to cover it. Your consultation with a physician should help clarify whether treatment is medically-necessary based on your test results and clinical exam.
Are cosmetic vein procedures affordable?
Yes. Most patients find our costs for treatment reasonable. We offer standard pricing schedule for patients with out-of-pocket costs. To see more information about vein treatment pricing, see our Average Costs Article.
Is anesthesia needed for varicose vein treatments?
No, not typically. Most of time, anesthesia is not required for varicose vein treatment. As our office-based treatments and techniques evolved, most patients can be safely and comfortably treated in our office. However, certain advanced procedures may still require hospital facilities and an anesthesiology provider may be involved in your care.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your symptoms and extent of your disease, your vascular doctor will give you a treatment plan.
Are vein procedures outpatient?
Nearly all our vein procedures are outpatient and you get to return to the comfort of your own home.
Where do you perform your procedures?
We perform many of our procedures right in our office!
In cases where traditional operating room or cath lab is required, our vascular surgeons will perform them in nearby hospitals.
